Whether you land on the side of calling it a parmi or a parma, the version served at Aroma @ Ascot settles the debate with sheer scale. Arriving at the table topped with melted cheese, bacon, and microgreens alongside a mound of waffle fries and a side salad, this schnitzel brings serious presence to the meal.

We headed down to this kitchen and bar on Racecourse Road just a few weeks after its opening. The setting is built for easy casual dining, featuring a covered patio filled with seated guests and a warm indoor dining space.

At a glance: what we ordered

  • Chicken parmi with waffle fries and side salad
  • Pumpkin lamb pizza
  • Pork ribs with chips and slaw
  • Bottle of Tenute Rossetti Rosso Toscana red wine

Sticky Ribs and Pizza Made to Share

Beyond the towering chicken parmi, our table filled with a generous spread of comforting favourites. We tried the pork ribs served over chips and coleslaw, alongside a pumpkin and lamb pizza. Lifting a slice showed off a cheese stretch, bringing a sweet and savoury balance against the richer meat dishes.

The dishes brought plenty of varied textures across the feast. The combination offered crunchy, sticky, and full-flavoured bites that made sharing across the table genuinely satisfying. We paired the meal with a bottle of Tenute Rossetti Rosso Toscana red wine, clinking glasses on the sheltered outdoor patio.

While our visit focused on the central share plates and pizza, full menu pricing and weekly opening hours were not detailed during the brief look. Even so, if you are looking for a hearty spread with bold flavours and substantial portions in Ascot, Aroma @ Ascot makes a strong case for a shared meal.
