I stopped by Jane Scrolls at the Saturday Fresh Market in Rocklea, takeaway box in hand, greeted by a stall banner promising cinnamon scrolls baked fresh daily. With counter trays piled high with freshly prepared scrolls, this new pop-up is already making a sweet impact on the Brisbane weekend market scene.
I had to start with their OG Classic Cinnamon Scroll, which quickly became my personal favourite. Fluffy and soft, the swirled dough comes packed full of warm cinnamon flavour and is finished with just the right amount of frosting, which for me means a generous topping.

Next up was the Pecan Sticky Date scroll, which brings a fantastic contrast in texture to the classic option. Topped with whole pecans and a rich caramel drizzle, slicing into the swirled dough reveals soft inner layers packed with date flavour that practically melts in your mouth when it hits.
We couldn't walk away without trying the monthly special, the Matilda-inspired Bruce Cake scroll. Built for serious chocolate lovers, it pairs a soft dark dough with rich chocolate frosting and a generous topping of chocolate crumble, creating a decadent chocolate-on-chocolate slice where if you know, you know.
