Navy & Oak, Fortitude Valley: Brisbane's Top Spot for Dog-Friendly Brunching

Navy & Oak bridges the gap between serious cafe standards and true pet-friendly hospitality, making it an essential visit for dog owners who refuse to compromise on great food and specialty drinks.

Dipping a crisp ladyfinger biscuit straight into the cocoa-dusted froth of an iced tiramisu latte is easily one of the most satisfying ways to start a weekend. I am completely obsessed with the specialty drinks at Navy & Oak, particularly that tiramisu creation and the pistachio matcha topped with creamy cold foam.

Located along Ann Street in Fortitude Valley, this cafe sets out to prove that bringing your four-legged bestie out for a meal does not mean sacrificing the quality of your spread. My dog Pudds was treated like absolute royalty, settling in beside a wall mural reminding everyone that happiness comes on four paws.

THE QUICK ANSWER

Is Navy & Oak worth adding to your itinerary?

The food delivers just as much enthusiasm as the beverage menu. We shared the Mushroom Dream, packed with poached eggs, creamy avocado slices, crisp croquettes, and sautéed mushrooms, alongside a wholesome Breakfast Bowl overflowing with roasted pumpkin and edamame.

To round out the feast, cutting into the Crème Brûlée French Toast revealed a luscious filled centre served with rich sauce and finished with a dried citrus wheel.
