Beyond at Sirromet Winery delivers a captivating seasonal night trail, blending interactive floral projections, starry forest lasers, and glowing sculptures against the scenic backdrop of a Mount Cotton vineyard.
Before stepping onto the dark trails at Sirromet Winery in Mount Cotton, gathering near the entrance stalls under festoon lights for a hot chocolate is my top recommendation for starting the walk. It is a welcoming entry point where counters display butterscotch liqueur alongside warm cups before heading out into the night.
Once twilight settles, the vineyard grounds transform into Beyond, a two-kilometre immersive light trail where native woodland and winery paths are reshaped by glowing forests, cosmic landscapes, and interactive gardens.

Interactive Trails and Luminous Gardens
Wandering onto the main track, purple and yellow orchid projections bloom across the ground beneath your feet. Interactive paths respond as people move over the glowing floral patterns, while nearby tree trunks come alive with giant glowing eyes and 3D projections of bees hovering beside vibrant purple blossoms.
Moving deeper through the trees, trunks wrapped in multicolored striped light projections lead toward purple fiber optic strands spreading across the dark forest floor. Visitors pause inside illuminated hoops set against floral backdrops, while patterned metal lanterns cast intricate geometric shadows over the path and light stakes glow gently in tall grass.
Canopy Lasers, Luminous Creatures, and Open Fires
