An amusing, eye-catching spectacle that delivers a refreshing cold caffeine hit right when the tropical Bali heat demands it.
I started my Bali trip by hooking an iced coffee up to a medical IV pole. At Buba Tea in Canggu, caffeine arrives in a clear pouch suspended from a metal drip stand, complete with a manual flow valve to pour an iced latte straight over a glass of ice.
It is an unapologetically theatrical spectacle built for the camera, but it also provides a genuinely refreshing cool-down when stepping in from the humid Bali heat. Pours like this turn a simple caffeine stop into an interactive, playful ritual.

Setting the Flow Rate
The setup commits completely to its playful medical theme. A cafe staff member taped a mock IV line to my hand with a branded Buba Tea sticker while the coffee-and-milk liquid ticked steadily down through the clear drip chamber above the table.
Adjusting the manual flow control valve lets the chilled latte stream directly down the clear tubing into a glass packed with ice cubes on a wooden tray. While I went with the iced coffee latte, the venue also offers an iced matcha latte in the same signature pouch format.
