Savoury Bites and Cold Drinks to Start

Before turning to the dessert case, we kicked things off with a savoury warm-up. We smashed a loaded hot dog dressed in melted cheese, bacon bits, and mustard, which made for a very tasty start to the morning.

To go with it, we picked up a mix of cold drinks: an iced latte, a thick Nutella shake, and the new Green Machine fruit smoothie. Pairing a fresh, vibrant green smoothie with espresso and indulgent shakes gives you a balanced setup whether you need quick fuel or a sweet sip.

Generous Pastries and Standout Flavours

The main event arrives when you dive into the doughnut selection. We started with the classic custard sprinkle before moving on to the Ice Vovo, which easily became my favourite thanks to its sweet jam core, pink icing, and fine coconut crust.

The indulgence keeps going right down the line. We tried the Ferrero with its crunchy hazelnut finish, a PB and J where red jam oozes out as soon as you cut it open, the Fonzie Abbott Mocha donut dusted with chocolate shavings, and a lemon meringue doughnut filled with bright lemon curd. Each pastry stays soft and pillow-like while holding a substantial centre. If you are heading past Waterford West, ordering a loaded hot dog and an iced latte before taking home an Ice Vovo or lemon curd doughnut is the ideal plan.
