Brisbane Riverfront Greek
Opa Bar & Mezze Brisbane
Opa Bar & Mezze combines vibrant Brisbane riverfront views with a generous Greek spread, anchored by juicy keftedes, refreshing cocktails, and a standout cheesecake that justifies a visit all on its own.

I would come back to Opa Bar & Mezze for the cheesecake alone. Sitting right by the Brisbane River with outdoor views stretching towards the Story Bridge, sipping cocktails by the water immediately sets a lively, relaxed atmosphere. The energy along the riverfront makes it the kind of spot where you want to linger over drinks while looking out across the water.
Is Opa Bar + Mezze worth adding to your itinerary?
By the end of the savoury mezze, I was starting to get full, but there is always room for dessert, and you do not want to skip this one. The signature Opa cheesecake arrived topped with a drizzle of cream, chocolate sauce, and crushed nuts. It was smooth and creamy without being too heavy, providing the perfect sweet finish to the night and proving itself as the ultimate highlight of the visit.

Savoury Mezze for the Table
The savoury dishes arrived in rapid succession, ideal for group dining. The beef and pork keftedes meatballs were cooked in a rich tomato sauce, remarkably juicy on the inside, and disappeared off our table in seconds. A hot skillet of saganaki cheese arrived next, sliced at the table and topped with a fresh squeeze of lemon that cut cleanly through the rich, golden cheese.
The feast kept going with chicken souvlaki served straight off the skewers alongside warm pita bread, lemon, red onion, and dip. We also shared the kokkinisto, a slow-cooked lamb and beef stew served over smooth mash, accompanied by a bowl of crisp chips and a fresh marouli salad. With cocktails like the fruity Aphrodite and Peach Ouzo-infused Opa cocktail on hand, the savoury course felt like a true celebratory spread.
