Sipping a vibrant yellow and blue layered drink on Orchid Avenue turned out to be the ultimate welcome to Surfers Paradise. A sunny day on the Gold Coast led us straight to Açaí Haven, where a bright neon sign welcomed passers-by looking for a cold treat.
We started by ordering the Golden Glow, a mango smoothie layered with a vivid blue coconut swirl. Drinking it through a straw right outside set a playful tone for what was turning into a proper sweet feast.
Is Açai Haven Surfers Paradise worth adding to your itinerary?
To contrast all the icy bowls, we couldn't resist adding the Dutch mini pancakes to our order. They arrived hot in a takeaway container, dusted with powdered sugar and scattered with banana slices, strawberries, and pistachio flakes that added a subtle crunch to every bite.

A Study in Bowls and Crunchy Layers
When it came to the main event, we decided to order two different açaí bowls to see how the kitchen balanced freshness with texture. The first was a gluten-free bowl piled high with fresh sliced fruit, including bananas and strawberries over a tall soft-serve açaí base drizzled with melted sauce.
The second bowl took a nuttier direction, generously topped with crunchy granola and a vibrant green pistachio finish. Alongside the bowls sat the Dubai Strawberry Cup, a clear cup layered with smooth açaí, ripe strawberries, and a crispy pistachio topping. The balance of fresh fruit and crunchy textures made the strawberry cup a fast favourite of the visit.
Warm Pancakes and Chilled Drinks on Orchid Avenue
To contrast all the icy bowls, we couldn't resist adding the Dutch mini pancakes to our order. They arrived hot in a takeaway container, dusted with powdered sugar and scattered with banana slices, strawberries, and pistachio flakes that added a subtle crunch to every bite.
A chilled glass of peach iced tea completed our spread, turning the table into a full lineup of colourful smoothies, bowls, and warm treats. Resting at the outdoor seating area on Orchid Avenue, we even spotted our foodie friend Jimmy passing by, which rounded out a casual, sun-filled stop in Surfers Paradise.
