When you need a cracking lunch on the go, standing before the self-service touch screen kiosk at Bibimcha in Orion Springfield Central offers an immediate, satisfying decision. You can build your own Korean rice bowl from scratch or choose from a pre-selected combo meal range that bundles in a complimentary beverage.

We decided to try a bit of both, picking through screen options before settling into a booth with stamped paper bowls filled with freshly cooked meats, sauces, and garnishes.

THE QUICK ANSWER

Is Bibimcha worth adding to your itinerary?

Out of everything on the table, my standout favorite was the Crispy Joy bowl. Topped with fried dumplings, melted cheese, sauce, and a crisp cracker topping, it delivers an enormous amount of crunch and satisfying texture in every bite.

Custom builds and crunchy combo bowls

The flexibility at the kiosk lets you tailor your lunch precisely, showing base options like Beef Bulgogi for $15 or Wagyu Steak for $16. Our custom selections included a Wagyu steak bowl paired with white rice, green salad, and kimchi mayonnaise, alongside a chicken breast bowl served over crispy rice (nurungji) with chips and mayonnaise.

If you prefer not to design every layer yourself, the preset combo bowls make ordering seamless. We added the Sweet & Spicy Bowl combo and a side of soy garlic Korean fried chicken to our table, digging into the cardboard containers with plastic forks.

Crispy favourites and real grape soda

Out of everything on the table, my standout favorite was the Crispy Joy bowl. Topped with fried dumplings, melted cheese, sauce, and a crisp cracker topping, it delivers an enormous amount of crunch and satisfying texture in every bite.

Because combo meals come with a free drink, heading over to the refrigerated grab-and-go display case is a mandatory part of the meal. My non-negotiable pick is the Bong Bong grape soda. It contains real grapes inside, offering a super fresh, sweet contrast to the savory fried chicken and rich rice bowls.
