Lifting a slice of toasted bread topped with smooth duck liver pâté and sweet fig is the exact moment I knew lunch at Botellón in Graceville was meant to be lingering. If you love fine wine, Spanish-style share plates, and long afternoon chats that stretch on effortlessly, this Graceville spot sets a wonderfully relaxed pace for a feast with friends.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it easy to settle in for hours. Inside, cozy tables sit beside a curved marble bar counter surrounded by green leather stools and shelves stacked with wine bottles. Step outside, and you will find a covered alfresco dining area lit by festoon lights that sets a delightful outdoor backdrop.

THE QUICK ANSWER

The wine list has something for everybody, and we paired our Spanish share plates with a chilled glass of Henschke Pinot Gris. Clinking glasses outdoors under the glowing festoon lights, the wine provided a bright, refreshing match to the rich baked saganaki and savoury dishes.

Savoury Share Plates Built for Lingering

We filled our table with a colourful spread designed for passing plates back and forth. We started with the smooth duck liver pâté paired with sweet fig on toast, followed closely by the golden eggplant chips, which arrived perfectly crispy and topped with grated cheese. Alongside them sat classic patatas bravas and a bubbling skillet of baked saganaki cheese studded with dried fruits and nuts.

To round out the savoury spread, we had the grilled chicken breast resting in a warm broth and garnished with fresh sage leaves. The kitchen paced each dish beautifully, giving us plenty of space to enjoy the rich flavours without ever feeling rushed.

Crisp Wine Pourings and Churros to Finish

Be sure to leave room for dessert before wrapping up your visit. We finished with warm, sugar-coated churros dipped in rich dark chocolate. Biting into a crispy churro was an absolute treat and the perfect conclusion to a long, memorable afternoon that makes Botellón a must-visit in Graceville.
