Pulling apart a warm coffee bun to reveal its soft, sweet filling immediately sets the tone for breakfast at Goodside Socials. Set under the concrete overpass and green foliage of Fish Lane right next door to Southside, this new spot brings a breezy, open-air morning energy to Brisbane.
Created by the team behind Southside and Rick Shores, Goodside blends casual kiosk convenience with comforting East Asian morning staples. It is an inviting outdoor setup where you can settle in with your dog or grab a shaded stone table for a relaxed start to the day.

Comforting Bowls and Laneway Sandwiches
The menu focuses on comforting flavours from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia. We shared the Lu Rou Fan, a braised pork rice bowl finished with a soft egg and chopped green onions, alongside a crisp Prawn Katsu Sando wrapped neatly in paper.
The Hawaiian Fried Rice comes topped with two fried eggs and bright pink pickled radish, while the golden, toasted Ham and Cheese Pocket offers a savoury option with a soft-boiled egg center.
Topped Iced Teas and Espresso
The drinks are built for warm Brisbane mornings, served in clear takeaway cups styled with bright yellow smiley stickers. The Lychee Icetea topped with coconut cold foam is light and tropical, while the Fong Fuego Float and classic Long Black, pulled from their bright yellow espresso machine, keep caffeine covered.
