Ubud Dining
Habitat Bistro: A Peaceful Jungle Escape in Ubud
Habitat Bistro provides a quiet alternative to busy beach clubs, combining sweeping jungle canopy views and an infinity pool with satisfying grazing platters and classic burgers.

Swapping noisy beach club crowds for deep jungle calm turns out to be one of the best choices you can make in Ubud. Looking out across the infinity pool at Habitat Bistro, the view stretches across a dense green canopy and tall palm trees, setting an immediately peaceful scene where an afternoon effortlessly slows right down.
Located along Jalan Bisma, this open-air venue is designed for lingering, with wooden ceilings, booth seating, upper-level terrace dining, and concrete loungers set right in the shallow pool water under orange umbrellas. It feels refreshingly removed from the main town centre, creating a quiet backdrop for a long, unhurried lunch.

Lunch moved on to classic burgers and chippies served right beside the pool. Served on pink plates stamped with the Habitat Bistro name, each toasted brioche bun held a beef patty layered with melted cheese, greens, and a white sauce, accompanied by golden fries and a ramekin of ketchup.

At a glance: the experience
- Grazing platter
Grazing by the Jungle Canopy
The menu leans into Italian and Western inspiration, anchored by a charcuterie grazing platter that stood out as the main event. Piled with cured prosciutto, blue cheese, olives, pickles, greens, and crisp snack spirals, it was built for slow picking while taking in the tropical valley breezes from the open terrace.
Alongside the platter, sliced ripe tomatoes topped with creamy burrata, fresh basil, and a light oil drizzle offered a fresh contrast. We paired these with iced red and green drinks topped with fresh mint sprigs, stirred quietly while sitting back by the water.

Dipping hot chips and watching the palm trees reflect across the calm infinity pool proved that you do not need ocean waves to enjoy a proper day out in Bali. Save Habitat Bistro for when you are ready to step away from the bustle and take a genuine breather in Ubud.
