A crustless slice of Basque burnt cheesecake drenched in warm Kinder sauce is a serious statement to make at a roadside sweet stop. Standing outside the Purple Passion food truck in Cleveland with a wooden spoon in hand, it is easy to see why this spot draws a sweet-tooth crowd across the bayside.
Operating out of Shore Street West and popping up at local bayside markets, this food truck focuses on warm, sauce-laden desserts alongside customisable cold treats. We settled in for a three-part dessert run that balanced rich warm baking, chilled fruit and freshly griddled mini Dutch pancakes.

Creamy San Sebastian Cheesecake and Chilled Acai
The San Sebastian cheesecake arrives without a traditional base, showing off a caramelised top and an exceptionally creamy, soft centre. Adding a generous drizzle of warm Kinder sauce and a topping of Kinder Bueno candy pieces turns the slice into a rich, sweet indulgence. It delivers that signature Basque texture where the centre stays delightfully soft against the baked crown.
To break up the sweet richness between hot dishes, we shared a large Oreo and Kinder combo acai bowl. Watching staff pour sauce over the mound of icy acai, fresh strawberries and Kinder Bueno pieces offered a cool pause before diving straight back into the warm menu options.
Freshly Griddled Mini Dutch Pancakes
We rounded off the spread with a cardboard tray of mini Dutch pancakes, flipped fresh on a hot griddle tray until golden and dusted lightly with icing sugar. Taking a local recommendation from Abby, I asked for a combination of both Biscoff and pistachio sauces drizzled over the top rather than sticking to a single flavour.
The pancakes came topped with fresh strawberry slices, banana, spoonfuls of Biscoff and Oreo cookie crumbs, and a whole packaged Lotus Biscoff biscuit. Mixing the Biscoff and pistachio sauces proved sensational, making Abby's recommendation spot on. Nutella sauce is also available for those who prefer a classic chocolate twist.
