Ballarat Brunch
Refuel Hub Brings Pink Energy and High-Crunch Brunch to Sturt Street
Refuel Hub is a lively Ballarat stop where vibrant layered cold brews, generous waffle dishes, and quick, friendly service deliver an easy, crunch-filled brunch.

When you head down to the bottom of Sturt Street in Ballarat Central, you cannot miss Refuel Hub. Wrapped in bright pink paint on the corner at 2 Sturt Street, this vivid venue sets an upbeat tone before you even step inside.
We settled in at a marble-style table to start our morning, ordering cold brew drinks and a bowl of seasoned golden chippies to share. The floor staff were quick to help us with recommendations, and our food arrived at the table remarkably fast.
Is Refuel Hub worth adding to your itinerary?
The specialty cold drinks add a splash of colour to the table, featuring builds like the layered pink and green strawberry matcha ice cold brew and the cream-topped Mont Blanc iced coffee. Sipping these alongside warm golden fries served with red sauce makes for a fun contrast.

Big Crunch and Sweet-Savoury Plates
The kitchen brings plenty of crunch to the main dishes, starting with the crispy chicken and waffles. The golden fried chicken sits on a waffle base with a colourful layer of purple cabbage slaw, sliced fresh red chillies, and spring onions, finished with dark syrup poured over the top.
If you prefer a classic sandwich format, the schnitty toastie arrives cut diagonally with toasted bread crowned in melted grated cheese. For those leaning sweet, the Biscoff waffles come loaded with vanilla ice cream, caramelised banana, pretzels, popcorn, Biscoff crumbs, and a generous drizzle of caramel syrup.

Before heading back out, take a moment to inspect the clear sweeties cabinet filled with cookies, muffins, and croissants. You can also pick up a jar of takeaway pistachio cream resting on the wooden shelf against the brick wall to enjoy long after your visit.
