Steaming Vegetables and Table-Top Grilling

We began by filling our plate with sliced beef, pork, and fresh greens. Before turning to the grill, we dropped bok choy, broccoli, sliced carrots, and meatballs into the outer moat so the hot soup could steam them tender.

Once the broth was bubbling, we laid thin strips of beef and pork directly onto the brass dome, cooking each piece until browned and crispy.

Whenever the broth ran low, we poured fresh soup into the moat from a heavy brass kettle. Having kitchen scissors at the table made it easy to snip the hot grilled meat into neat, bite-sized pieces straight onto our plates.

Self-Serve Tea and the Hot Buffet Line

To wash down the meal, I popped over to the drink dispenser and poured myself a cup of iced Thai lime tea, which offered a bright counterpart to the heat of the grill.

In addition to the table-top barbecue setup, the meal comes with full access to a cooked buffet line. A quick trip to the counter reveals hot trays filled with curries, stir-fried dishes, clams, fried chicken wings, and spring rolls.
