Clinking cold glasses of iced matcha and an iced latte over a table stacked high with food is a fine way to begin a trip. At The Bakers Bistro in Seminyak, we kicked off our first full morning in Bali with a colourful spread, including a fresh young coconut stamped with the bistro's logo. The light-filled dining hall gave us a bright, comfortable space to settle in and start the day.
The all-day menu ranges from quick cabinet items to cooked breakfast dishes. Sitting near the window, we paired our drinks, such as the Tiramisu Iced Latte and Strawberry Matcha, with a mix of sweet and savoury plates meant for a lazy morning.

Savoury Standouts for Breakfast
Among the savoury options, the clear standout for us was the steak and egg sandwich. Layered with sliced steak and crisp greens inside crusty bread, it was easily one of the best plates on the table. It came served with a side of chopped broccoli salad, dressed neatly and garnished with fresh dill.
We also added the sausage and egg muffin, a handheld stack layered with cheese, a seasoned patty, and egg inside an English muffin. The breakkie taco, garnished with pickled red onions, added another punchy savoury option to the order.
Sweet Plates and Cabinet Treats
For something sweet, the buttermilk pancakes arrived as a stack topped with sliced banana, fresh blueberries, cream, nuts, and syrup. They were a clear highlight of the spread, making for a classic holiday brunch order.
We also tried the monthly special croissant soft serve, presented in a cup with caramel sauce and salted caramel popcorn. Before leaving, we checked out the display cabinets filled with golden pastries, including white chocolate raspberry and white chocolate pistachio croissants, alongside grab-and-go options for our next stop on the island.
